There are a number of ways that the system can be applied operationally: |

LIVE CLAIMS ASSESSMENT
Used to interview claimants at first contact. Data is collected through the system-driven interview process and a real-time decision is provided in terms of whether liability exists and what documents need to be submitted, as well as despatched for completion. The process is continued when the documents are returned and the operator validates the claim by checking the documentation against pre-specified claims data. |

The same process is adopted as for live claims assessment but the data is collected from returned claims forms and documents. |
|
The customer enters the data directly into the system via a web page and is provided with an interim decision (straight-through-processing). Any documents to be despatched can be automatically emailed to the customer. |
